A browser using 128-bit encryption provides the highest level of commercially available security for your financial transactions. Encryption transforms the transactions you send over the Internet into a code that can only be read by NetTrader.
A Digital Certificate is a randomly generated set of characters that our computer sends to your browser. The browser on your computer stores this information and uses it to verify that the Internet address is definitely that of NetTrader. It is therefore used to confirm identity.
NetTrader has implemented the latest internet security measure with the introduction of EV SSL Certificate (Extended Validation SSL Certificate). If your browser version meets the minimum requirement (e.g. Microsoft Internet Explorer 7.0), the URL address bar will turn green and display our company website address, the name of the certificate owner (The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited) and the security lock icon when you logon to NetTrader. This color turning feature provides you with a visual verification that let you know instantly you are on a genuine NetTrader website.
Please note that the changes will look slightly different depending on the browser version you use to logon. No visual change will appear for a browser version that does not meet the minimum requirement.
