Application Requirement
You must have at least an honours degree in any discipline, with a GPA of 3.0 or Grade B or above, from a recognised university in Hong Kong or overseas. We also consider recent graduates with up to three years of work experience. Some programmes (HTS and Finance) consider international students.
Please note that all programmes are offered on Hong Kong local employment terms.

Online Application Form
To successfully complete the online application form, you will need to provide the following information:
Personal details
Educational history and academic achievements, including names of secondary schools, colleges, universities, etc attended
A description of your extra-curricular activities and interests
Any temporary, part-time, summer, or full-time work experience
Personal qualities and other achievements/awards

Self-Description Questionnaire
To complete this, you will be asked to choose two of the three answers for each of the 50 questions. Please allow yourself approximately 20 minutes to complete this questionnaire.
Once you have submitted your completed online application and self-description questionnaire, your application will be screened against our selection criteria. Shortlisted applicants will be contacted within four weeks to proceed to the next phase of the recruitment process - online verbal and numerical reasoning tests.

A: The online application process is fully protected by a secure system denoted by the prefix: "https".
What happens if I lose my Internet connection during the application process?
A: If, for any reason, you happen to get disconnected during the online process, you should be able to return to your application by logging in again without losing any information. Should you experience difficulties in completing the application form or questionnaire, you can email MT.support@hsbc.com.hk.
Online/Written Verbal & Numerical Tests
If you successfully complete the self-description questionnaire, we will send you a link to a website where you will be able to complete the next stage in the selection process: the online verbal and numerical reasoning tests.
These tests are designed to help us understand whether you have some of the verbal/numerical reasoning skills you'll need to be successful in our graduate programmes. You will have five days to start doing them, but once you start you will need to complete them within 36 minutes.

Please note: You will be invited to complete written tests (including verbal and numerical reasoning tests to ensure the validity of your online test results) soon after the completion of your online tests.
Interview and Tips
Upon completion of the reasoning tests, shortlisted candidates will be invited for an interview. You may like to bear in mind the following tips:
Before the interview, review your application and ensure you have a full understanding of your chosen programme.
We want to know about your skills and interests so be prepared to talk about yourself in a wider context.
If you are having a telephone interview, make sure you will not be disturbed, have good reception and can be reached What happens next?
We will try to contact you within two weeks to arrange an interview with you after the test session. If you are successful, we will invite you to take part in the final stage of the process - a half-day assessment at our Graduate Assessment Centre.
Graduate Assessment Centre
For most of our programmes, the half-day assessment at our Graduate Assessment Centre comprises a case study and a series of other exercises that give you the chance to display the capabilities we are looking for.
The exercises you complete will be based on simulated scenarios, ranging from interviews with our business managers to a case study and role playing. We will use the evidence collected to make our selection.

The Group Graduate Development Programme (GGDP) is a unique and interactive learning programme designed for talented management trainees. With a strong emphasis on learning through collaboration in challenging scenarios, you will be encouraged to develop a variety of leadership, management and team-working skills. Conducted in our UK training centre for four weeks, the GGDP provides:

Regional Graduate Development Programme (RGDP)
