Application Requirement
You must have at least an upper second class honours degree in any discipline or equivalent from a recognised university in Hong Kong or overseas. We also consider recent graduates with up to three years' work experience. Applicants to the Hong Kong Management Associate Programme must possess the right to work in Hong Kong. The Regional Specialist Development Programmes accept applicants from all nationalities.
Please note that all programmes are offered based on Hong Kong local employment terms.

Can I apply to more than one of HSBC's management programmes?
HSBC's suite of management programmes offers a comprehensive range of opportunities at the local, country, regional and global level. As each programme is designed to develop future leaders with specific knowledge and capabilities, we encourage applicants to do as much research as possible on each programme prior to applying. After identifying the most suitable programme for you, we request that you apply only to that programme. Submitting multiple applications will not increase your chances of being accepted to a management programme with HSBC.
Our Selection Process
Candidates will undergo a rigorous selection process to assess their capabilities and leadership potential. All assessors are trained and have received accreditation to conduct interviews and assessment centres to ensure that applicants are evaluated through a fair and consistent procedure.

The initial stages of the selection process are conducted online and via the telephone. The final assessment centre is conducted in Hong Kong.
Online Application
To submit an online application you will need to upload your CV, including the following information together with your public examinations results (e.g. HKCEE, HKALE, GCSE, GCE or equivalent) and university transcripts:

Once you have submitted your completed online application, it will be screened against our selection criteria. Shortlisted applicants will be contacted within four weeks to proceed to the next phase of the recruitment process - online verbal and numerical reasoning tests.
Online Verbal and Numerical Reasoning Tests
If you pass our initial online screening, we will invite you to the next stage of the selection process: online verbal and numerical reasoning tests.
These tests are designed to assess whether you have the verbal and numerical reasoning skills that are needed to be successful in our management programmes. You will be given a three-day window period in which to complete these tests. Once these tests are initiated, they must be completed within 36 minutes.
Before you start, you will have the opportunity to familiarise yourself with what is required by completing some sample questions.
What happens next?
We will try to contact you within two weeks to arrange a telephone interview with you after the test session.

Graduate Assessment Centre
For most of our programmes, the half-day assessment at our Graduate Assessment Centre comprises of various exercises that will give you the opportunity to demonstrate your leadership capabilities and potential.
