Performance and Reward
The Performance and Reward Team provides strategic guidance and consultancy services in relation to performance and reward management. During the attachment, you will be involved in the strategic development and implementation of regional performance and reward programmes, incentive schemes and HR policies for all employees as well as benchmarking these against leading practices.
HR Relationship Management
The Relationship Management Teams are the face of HR, serving as the bridge between the line managers/employees and HR. They provide one-stop HR Strategy and Policy consultancy to designated business or functional groups in Asia-Pacific to support business growth targets, whilst ensuring the alignment with HR strategies. During the attachment, you will have frequent contact with line managers and employees to assist them on employee related matters, and have the opportunity to learn the business strategies of different areas and their operating models. You will also gain an overview of various HR functions.
Learning and Employee Development
The Learning and Employee Development Team offers consultancy services on and delivers employee development solutions in Asia-Pacific. These include classroom and off-site training, on-line learning, learning centres, coaching sessions, recognised external programmes and customised workshops. They focus on human potential and individuals' development from both business and personal aspects. During the attachment, you will have opportunities to proactively develop and deploy innovative training and development programmes, policies and products.
Talent and Resourcing
The Talent and Resourcing Team provides strategic consultancy on projects in relation to attraction, assessment, retention, talent management and succession planning. Being the custodians of branding, sourcing, selection and on-boarding strategies and policies, they also support the development and implementation of group initiatives in the above areas to enhance internal capability for manpower and workforce. During the attachment, you will have opportunities to act as an in-house consultant providing specialist advice on the creation of innovative models on human capital and talent development and developing regional talent and resourcing strategies to support the business growth.
Organisational Development
The Organisational Development Team leads and develops policies and projects on employee/ industrial relations and organisation design, culture and values. During the attachment, you will have opportunities to design the approach and content of multiple communication contact points with employees, take part in employee engagement and diversity activities, provide consultancy on organisation design and job sizing to the business, and develop an understanding of how all these contribute to make HSBC the "Best Place to Work".
HR Business Support
The HR Business Support Team focuses on running the function commercially, promoting a customer-focused, efficient, cost effective and compliant HR function. During the attachment, you will have opportunities to define and drive consistent and compliant practices in HR, transform HR strategies into feasible business plans, manage and prioritise projects to ensure the maximisation of HR resources and values.
Recruitment
The Recruitment Team serves as a centralised unit to ensure efficient and effective recruitment and selection across all business areas. They are responsible for marketing the HSBC recruitment brand and aligning recruitment strategies to meet changing business needs. During the attachment, you will have opportunities to learn about the recruitment market, business strategies, marketing channels and how to use a variety of selection tools to attract and select the best people for HSBC.
