The programme starts with you meeting our top PFS management team, your mentor and your buddy, which will provide you with an overview of HSBC and the PFS business to help you settle in as soon as possible.

You will be attached to any of the following teams
Product Development
In this area you will manage the end-to-end product development process to establish an understanding of business dynamics, product strategies/positioning, profitability, target segments, sales strategies and the competitive landscape.
Marketing
HSBC, as 'the world's local bank', has one of the strongest and most powerful brands in the regional and global markets. In Marketing, you will have the chance to work with world-class advertising agencies in the development and production of TV and print advertising, as well as direct mail campaigns. Through this you will learn about effective marketing communications that can drive sales results.
Channel Development
During this attachment you will gain an understanding of the functionalities, development processes, dynamics, customer experience and expansion plans of various key channels, ranging from our prize-winning internet platform and our call centre to ATMs.
Customer Proposition
Through an attachment with the Customer Proposition Team, you will manage our well-branded Integrated Accounts such as HSBC Premier, HSBC Advance and SmartVantage. This will allow you to understand the product development process and work with renowned advertising agencies to launch Marketing campaigns.
Leadership Development, Service & Sales Management - Branch
This phase will give you great opportunities to understand our banking branch structure and operations, lead a team to manage the branch platform, meet our customers and develop the skill sets required to drive and manage service and sales at the frontline.
Young Business Leader Challenge
A year after joining, you will go through a robust assessment process. This will identify your individual strengths and development needs so that we can customise your career development going forward.
Tailored attachment to a Regional / Special Project team - to address identified development gaps
You will be assigned to one of our regional or special project teams in Hong Kong. Here, you will assist in projects and tasks tailored to address the specific development gaps identified during the Young Business Leader Challenge. This is a good opportunity for you to understand and drive business development in our fast-growing businesses across the Asia-Pacific region, as well as to handle major business projects in PFS.
A Posting of Choice
The last attachment within the 24-month programme will provide you with great flexibility in exploring your interests by allowing you to choose a business area that you did not have a chance to attach to in previous months. You may also make use of this opportunity to sharpen your strengths and address your development needs. It's totally tailored to your personal career development.
