INDUSTRY PLACEMENTS AND CO-OP PROGRAMME

Technology and Services One-Year industry Placement

HSBC Technology and Services One-year Industry Placements
offer the opportunity for students to acquire a solid understanding
of the important role technology plays in the success of an
international bank. We see the importance of business exposure
in the development of our most successful people, so we place
a high value on meaningful early experiences as we strive to
identify and develop the talent of high potential students in Hong
Kong. These placements aim to give you the opportunity to find
out whether a career in banking is a good fit for you, while putting
you ahead of the competition in developing a strong foundation of
technical knowledge and practical experience.

See below for a more detailed description of the nature and structure of the placements.

Co-op Programme

HSBC regularly participates in Co-op programmes with leading universities and colleges around the world in a wide variety of disciplines. Work placements generally last between six months and a year and may be eligible for credit equivalencies, subject to university/college requirements. With HSBC's Co-op Programme, you will develop your skills and knowledge in a real working environment as you take on responsibilities with a selection of important projects.

To be eligible, you should be a second or penultimate year student with the right to work in Hong Kong. Co-op opportunities will be posted at universities; please check with your university Career Centre for further details on available positions and applications. Students who are not enrolled at a university offering a coordinated Co-op Programme may still be eligible to take part subject to receiving appropriate approval from their university.
