Asia-Pacific Credit Risk Management


HSBC's Credit Quality Assurance (CQA) team aims to ensure a smooth transition of the credit review function and compliance with HSBC's external auditor and regulators requirement. We are now seeking a high-calibre candidate to join our team as Credit Examiner.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide input on sampling priorities to be applied as well as other risk areas to be covered by the review and ensure that sampling data generated is consistent with sampling priorities
  • Ensure that all documents and data required from Areas and stakeholders are complete and adequate ahead of the review
  • Complete thorough and in-depth evaluations for all individual borrowers assigned within a review, with the ultimate aim of assessing the risk rating integrity of borrowers sampled
  • Review credit file review summaries produced by credit analysts and ensure that conclusions and recommendations made are reasonable
  • Prepare Credit Risk Review reports for reviews conducted and ensure reports prepared accurately reflect findings documented in work papers and that conclusions and recommendations are reasonable
  • Guarantee the working papers associated with each review are maintained in line with Group standards
  • Keep abreast of knowledge of business, organisational, credit risk and technological changes as well as pertinent internal and regulatory policy and procedural requirements to ensure review integrity, process innovation and service quality

Requirements

  • Experienced in credit or audit with knowledge of auditing and regulatory requirements
  • Good analytical skills with an inquisitive mind
  • Self-confidence and assertiveness in dealing with other functional teams or stakeholders
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral
