Asia-Pacific Credit Risk Management


HSBC's Credit Quality Assurance (CQA) team aims to ensure a smooth transition of the credit review function and compliance with HSBC's external auditor and regulators requirement. We are now seeking a high-calibre candidate to join our team as Credit Analyst.


Key Responsibilities

  • Utilise sampling software and other tools to extract sample individual borrowers to be included in reviews and ensure that sampling data generated is consistent with sampling priorities determined by the Senior Credit Examiner and Credit Examiner
  • Ensure that all documents and data required from Areas and stakeholders are complete and adequate ahead of the review
  • Complete thorough and in-depth evaluations for all individual borrowers assigned within a review, with the ultimate aim of assessing the risk rating integrity of borrowers sampled
  • Gather, process, quality check and consolidate data for the Continuous Risk Assessment reports, supplementing this, where appropriate, with external economic research
  • Evaluate Key Risk Indictors used in Continuous Risk Assessment report critically to ensure they remain reflective of Area risks
  • Keep abreast of knowledge of business, organisational, credit risk and technological changes as well as pertinent internal and regulatory policy and procedural requirements to ensure review integrity, process innovation, and service quality

Requirements

  • Experience in credit or audit with knowledge of auditing and regulatory requirements
  • Good Analytical skills with an ability to understand details
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral
