HSBC's Finance Transformation Platform (FTP) is a global project aimed at strengthening our Finance division's control environment and improving efficiency through the adoption of a globally consistent Finance process model. The three-year project will automate the accounting, recording, data warehousing, reporting and delivery of financial data generated by the Bank's Personal Banking, Commercial Banking, Global Banking and Markets, and Insurance businesses, and is one of the largest projects ever undertaken at HSBC. Hong Kong is one of the major sites of the global pilot rollout, and we are now seeking an experienced Finance professional to join us.


Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse our current reporting requirements and sources of reporting attributes
  • Define reporting data attributes
  • Specify user requirements for IT development
  • Specify requirements and populate data attributes that are not collected by source systems
  • Specify the data attribute summary table requirements for IT development
  • Build reports based on reporting requirements
  • Prepare test plans and cases
  • Participate in user acceptance tests

Requirements

  • University degree with at least 10 years of relevant working experience in Finance functions of the banking industry; candidates with less experience will be considered for junior positions
  • Sound knowledge of banking products and financial systems
  • A professional accounting qualification is a definite advantage
  • Able to work under pressure in a dynamic, changing environment
  • Strong analytical and interpersonal skills
  • Good written and spoken communication skills
