Global Markets Operations


Global Markets Operations, which provides operational support to Global Banking and Markets division, is the largest dealing room in Asia outside Japan. Structured Products Team specialises in supporting all type of derivatives and structured transactions, ranging from traditional derivatives like Interest Rate Swaps and Options, to tailor-made structured tax deals, to various new market initiatives such as Structured Credit Products, Collateral Management. This dynamic business area is currently expanding rapidly, thereby creating a range of exciting opportunities for experienced, ambitious professionals who look for challenges and career progression.


Key Responsibilities


  • Provide effective and efficient operational support by formulating strategies to strengthen governance over the Asia-Pacific region
  • Determine a target operating model for Derivatives Operations which incorporates centralisation and optimal operations
  • Participate in new product and system launches by liaising with relevant parties
  • Maintain internal control standards, including ensuring the timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators

Requirements

  • University graduate with degree in Mathematics or other relevant professional qualifications
  • At least 10 years' work experience in Structured Products Operations within a banking environment
  • Solid exposure in driving the settlement processes of complex Structured Products transactions within the region
  • Excellent supervisory skills with ability to mentor and train staff members at different levels
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical and investigating skills
  • Good command of both written and spoken English
