Global Markets Operations


Global Markets Operations, which provides operational support to Global Banking and Markets division, is the largest dealing room in Asia outside Japan. Structured Products Team specialises in supporting all type of derivatives and structured transactions, ranging from traditional derivatives like Interest Rate Swaps and Options, to tailor-made structured tax deals, to various new market initiatives such as Structured Credit Products, Collateral Management.


Key Responsibilities


  • Provide operational support by monitoring compliance to established workflows and ensuring that all transactions are completed in an accurate and timely manner
  • Minimise risk arising from documentation by keeping abreast of documentation standards and working closely with the legal department
  • Provide proper staff training and counseling to enhance the productivity of the team
  • Investigate and follow up on exceptions and discrepancies
  • Assist with the launch of new products by applying product and system expertise and liaising with relevant parties to devise appropriate procedures
  • Act as project manager to manage the launch of new systems or enhancements by planning resources, guiding staff members during system testing and reviewing test results

Requirements

  • University graduate with a degree in Mathematics, Finance or a related discipline
  • At least five years' experience in structured derivatives operations
  • Expert knowledge of OTC and exotic Equity Derivatives
  • Sound knowledge of ISDA documentation
  • Experience in or knowledge of Sophis will be an advantage
  • Strong analytical, numerical and problem-solving skills
  • Able to work well under pressure
  • Proficient in spoken and written English and Chinese
  • Applicants with less experience will be considered for the Assistant Manager position
