Capitalizing on the growing opportunities brought about by the rapid liberalization of China's financial market, HSBC has maintained its leading position in this market where it is the largest foreign bank. We are looking for a seasoned wealth management product manager to second and station in our Shanghai office in China.


Key Responsibilities


Reporting to Head of PFS in China, you will develop distinct propositions and medium-to-long term strategic business strategies for Wealth Management services in China. This will include:

  • Leading and developing wealth management strategies, propositions and plans ensuring that the potential of the Bank is maximized and product profitability is optimized
  • Identifying and evaluating the market trend, competitors activities, customer needs, internal requirements and compliance regulations to identify market niche for overall wealth management product proposition
  • Monitoring and analyzing customer/branch feedback to improve product positioning, features, and therefore increase product penetration and cross-sells
  • Working closely with regional team to update the market information, share best practice, introduce innovative product timely and customize for local market
  • Launching innovative and competitive wealth management products to acquire/retain customer portfolio and increase product market share
  • Increasing product profitability through conducting key income/cost analysis and monitoring product performance
  • Working closely with sales, service and marketing in developing successful campaigns to promote the products
  • Providing wealth management expertise to support wealth management sales and training to sales staff
  • Managing the operational, financial and reputation risks inherent in the PFS wealth management business and protecting the Bank from foreseeable future risk/losses
  • Assisting in the planning and managing for the implementation of defined PFS projects in HSBC China

Requirements

  • A university graduate with a relevant business degree
  • A minimum of 10 years' experience, including at least five years in product development, sales or marketing of wealth management products
  • CFP/CFA qualification is advantageous
  • Proven project management experience in the wealth management products business
  • Astute business sense and analytical skills as well as understanding of the market
  • Be innovative and strong problem solving ability
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English and Chinese (Putonghua)
