Asia-Pacific Personal Financial Services (ASP PFS) - Consumer Assets


ASP PFS Consumer Assets provides thought leadership and consultative support to 18 ASP markets for consumer banking products including credit cards, debit cards, consumer loans (personal installment loans, consumer finance) and consumer propositions - payroll, retailers etc. In addition it also provides oversight of approval processes, business planning and recommends allocation of regional resources. We are looking for seasoned consumer assets product managers to contribute to the business success.


Key Responsibilities


Reporting to Regional Senior Manager Credit Cards, you will be responsible to drive and support the implementation of credit cards business projects related to either Affluent Portfolio (credit cards for the upscale segment) or New Technologies (contact-less, mobile, etc.) of Asia-Pacific region through capturing the synergies between countries/sites, maximizing the profitability and business growth, sharing best practices and standardizing business measurements and controls. Specific duties are:

  • Co-responsible with the local Credit Card Teams of the P&L of four countries in ASP
  • Develop and implement Customer Centric business strategy
  • Work with internal and external consultant to develop and implement effective Portfolio Management plan / New Technologies product and business initiatives
  • Work with the local teams establishing actions plans to achieve the agreed Key Performance Indicators
  • Develop and introduce pricing strategy to ensure product competitiveness and profitability
  • Identify strategic business partners and develop profitable alliance, including co-brands, and other support products
  • Represent the region for Cards Association matters to ensure the region's interest is looked after
  • Establish effective control and ensure regulatory, compliance and audit directives are implemented
  • Provide support to other link up projects from other regional PFS functions including channels, insurance, the Affluent banking services brand/segment, etc.
  • Facilitate best practice sharing among markets and provide liaison from business perspectives in related system projects to ensure full compliance under regional/group standard

Requirements

  • A university graduate with a relevant business degree (MBA preferred)
  • A minimum of 10 years' experience, including at least five years in product development, product management or business development in credit cards
  • Strong business vision and strategic thinking
  • Sound commercial orientation with excellent analytical ability
  • Be persistent and diplomatic to lead by influencing others remotely
  • Be a creative problem solver in a complex and diverse business environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in written and spoken English
