As business environments become increasingly challenging and sophisticated throughout Asia-Pacific, the Corporate Banking (CIB) and Commercial Banking (CMB) business groups strive to ensure that staff are properly equipped with the sales and relationship management skills required to dynamically acquire and leverage business on an ongoing basis.


To meet this demand Learning and Development Asia-Pacific (ASP LDV) needs to act as a strategic business partner, working in close alignment with the business groups to ensure that a robust training curriculum is designed, executed and continuously measured for effectiveness.


We are looking for an experienced professional to take on a senior role within the Sales and Relationship Management Unit of ASP LDV.


Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the Senior Manager Sales and Relationship Management Training, you will:

  • Act as a strategic business partner to the CIB and CMB functions across Asia-Pacific by analysing and understanding training development needs; and designing and implementing effective, bespoke solutions
  • Institute a robust and innovative methodology for consistent measurement - and enhancement - of the impact of learning solutions in supporting the business strategies
  • Maintain close contact with the ASP LDV Relationship Managers for CIB and CMB to provide subject matter expertise and consultancy on sales and relationship management training
  • Lead and develop a team of experienced training professionals, providing coaching and mentorship to ensure that the highest standards of quality are maintained in the services offered to the business groups
  • Proactively explore diverse media in delivering training and promote the use of e-channels in designing blended solutions
  • Identify and implement methodologies to measure the financial return-on-investment on training solutions, ensuring that cost-efficiency and tangible business value are maintained at all times

Requirements

  • Strong commercial experience, ideally in front line sales
  • Proven history of managerial experience, developing and leading successful sales teams
  • Demonstrable business analysis and consultancy skills
  • Excellent English, Putonghua and Cantonese communication skills
  • Self motivation, drive and interpersonal capabilities
  • The ability to work with diverse internal and external business partners throughout Asia-Pacific
  • Excellent interpersonal, leadership and communication skills
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
