In 2006, The Hongkong Bank Foundation contributed HKD8 million in scholarships, bursaries and other development awards to more than 300 students from tertiary institutions in Hong Kong. 

A range of options

The awards cover a wide range of studies and extend from bursaries of a few thousand dollars to scholarships that enable students to spend a year of their degree course at an overseas university.

  • Social work scholarship programme
  • China career development programme for undergraduate students
  • HKSAR-Mainland exchange programme for performing arts and early childhood education students
  • HSBC Diversity Grant to facilitate integration and mutual learning between local and non-local students
