HSBC on Hang Seng Corporate Sustainability Index
HSBC Holdings has been selected as a constituent stock of the newly launched Hang Seng Corporate Sustainability Index. This Index, first of its kind in Hong Kong, covers 30 Hong Kong listed and Mainland listed companies with outstanding corporate sustainability performance. It will provide a benchmark for the investment community and those interested in socially responsible investment development.
The inclusion of HSBC in the Index marks another key achievement of HSBC since its listing in the Dow Jones Sustainability Index and FTSE4Good indices. We were also ranked number one on CSR and Sustainability amongst all Hang Seng Index listed companies for two consecutive years by Oxfam and CSR Asia.
- Aims to encourage listed companies to strengthen their corporate sustainability performance, increase investor's confidence on the constituent companies and enhance market transparency.
- Rating criteria cover corporate governance, environmental and social impact management, as well as workplace practices.
- The evaluation was conducted by RepuTex, an independent analytics and advisory company.
