HSBC has a long history of giving support to charities in China.
 
In 1981, HSBC founded the Hongkong Bank Foundation to co-ordinate its charitable activities, including social welfare, education, training and environmental protection initiatives. For projects to be supported by the Foundation, they must meet certain funding parameters.
 
The Bank believes giving to the community is an important part of being a successful business.
