Redemption discounts are valid throughout the year and are calculated based on the number of years that customers have had an HSBC credit card. Cardholders who have held their HSBC credit cards for 12 years or above are entitled to the highest redemption discount of 50%. With effect from 1 January 2009, each cardholder is entitled to a maximum redemption discount of 100,000 Reward points (based on the amount of the original Reward points required for the redemption). The Reward points earned by all HSBC credit cards under the same cardholder (including combined additional cards) will automatically be combined for 'Reward $' redemption. |
