What is your stress level?

Hong Kong is one of the busiest cities in the world; its inhabitants could find stress everywhere. No matter you are working, living or studying, stress is unavoidable in such a competitive environment. Sometimes, people might not realise how the body would react to stress. However, people do realise some symptoms are related to stress, such as headaches, shoulder and neck pain, stomach aches or discomfort, or insomnia. When people are unable to manage or cope with stress, variety of illnesses related to stress arises. Heart diseases, diabetes, high blood pressure, injury or suicide are problems directly related to stress while some chronic illnesses are adversely influenced by stress indirectly.

However, as a positive influence, stress can help compel us to action; it can result in a new awareness and an exciting new perspective. Both employees and employers could therefore benefit from increased individuals' satisfaction at work and in life, as well as workplace productivity.
