Protection

  • Major illness cover for 39 major illnesses, which provides a cash lump sum if you are diagnosed with any covered major illness +.
  • Additional major illness medical expenses on reimbursement basis (up to 15% of major illness benefit) is available for treatment of the major illness being claimed by physicians or Chinese herbalist.
  • If there have been no claims, a death benefit * equal to HK$10,000 plus 100% premium refund will be paid if you pass away during the policy term.

 


Additional protection

  1. Unemployment benefit
    - If you become unemployed for 30 consecutive days or more, you can delay your payment of all due premiums for up to 365 days
      from the date of first due premium during unemployment and still enjoy the full protection of your policy #.

Premium

  • Premiums can be paid monthly or annually.
  • The premium is fixed at the premium level according to your age next birthday upon application and will generally not increase with age throughout the policy term. However, the premium is not guaranteed to remain unchanged and the Company reserves the right to vary the premium of this Policy.
  • No further premium payment is required upon approval of a claim of major illness benefit.

Main policy exclusions


  • Any major illness resulting (directly or indirectly) from, or related to, or caused or contributed by (in whole or in part), any of the following:
    - AIDS or HIV (except for the covered major illness - HIV through Blood Transfusion)
    - Any congenital conditions
    - Self-inflicted injury or attempted suicide while sane or insane
    - Any pre-existing condition prior to the Policy Date or the effective date of last reinstatement, whichever is later
    - Intoxication by alcohol or drugs not prescribed by a Registered Medical Practitioner
    - Violation or attempted violation of the law or resistance to arrest or participation in any criminal act
    - Travel in any aircraft (except as a fare paying passenger in a commercial aircraft)
  • Any major illness, the signs or symptoms of which or diagnosis of which first occurred within the first 90 days immediately following the Policy Date or the effective date of last reinstatement of the policy, whichever is later
  • Any same type of major illness for which the Life Insured has been diagnosed prior to the Policy Date, whether or not this earlier diagnosis is related to the major illness giving rise to the claim. For example, no major illness benefit resulting from Cancer can be claimed under this policy if the Life Insured has been diagnosed with any Cancer prior to the Policy Date
  • The Life Insured survives less than 30 days after the first confirmed diagnosis of the covered major illness

Note:

All ages mentioned refer to age of the Life Insured at the next birthday. Available for policyholders aged between 19 and 50 holding Hong Kong Identity Cards.
+ Subject to the condition that the Life Insured has survived for no less than thirty days following the diagnosis of the Major Illness.
*  Death Benefit will be terminated upon the date of approval of a claim for the Major Illness Benefit.
# The Life Insured is not eligible to claim the Unemployment Benefit if the unemployment commences within six months from the Policy Date or Issue Date
    or the effective date of last reinstatement (whichever is later).
