Application procedure for the Tenants Purchase Scheme and mortgage loan

Primary market Secondary market
STEP 1
  • Receive an invitation letter from the Hong Kong Housing Authority
  • Return the application form with the intention money to the Hong Kong Housing Authority
  • Apply for an eligibility certificate from the Hong Kong Housing Authority to buy the flat
STEP 2
  • Receive the acceptance confirmation from the Hong Kong Housing Authority
  • Look for the right property
  • Negotiate property price on their own and then sign a provisional Sale and Purchase Agreement
STEP 3
  • Apply for a mortgage loan by visiting any HSBC branch
STEP 4
  • Sign the Mortgage Deed and Title Deed at your solicitor's office
  • Sign the Mortgage Deed and formal Sale and Purchase Agreement at your solicitor's office
STEP 5
  • You are now the owner of your current flat
  • Collect the key to your flat
