Myth

You received an email with an embedded URL to link with a banking website, ask for logon credentials eg. Username, PIN and security code when you 'logon' to that website.

Fact

By clicking on the embedded URL on the email, you will be brought to the FAKE banking website, and disclose your account information that can be used by fraudsters. You may find transactions that you did not authorize on your statement, and suffer monetary loss.

Tips

Never click on the embedded URLs on emails and do not give out confidential information by either email or letter unless you are absolutely sure about the other party's identity and reputation.
