New Fund balance will be calculated automatically and displayed on the "place New Time Deposit instruction page" after your successful logon to HSBC Personal Internet Banking.

Calculation of New Fund Balance

New fund refers to the net growth in the Customer's Total Deposit Balance as of the day of determination by reference to the same as at the end of business on the 7th calendar day prior to such day, according to the Bank's record.

For example:
Today is 07 Aug, the New Fund Balance will be the total Deposit Balance (TDB) as of now (07 Aug) subtracted by TDB at day end of 31 Jul.
TDB as of now: HKD150,000
TDB at day end of 31 Jul: HKD 100,000
Customer's New Fund Balance is HKD 150,000 - HKD 100,000 = HKD 50,000

Terms and Conditions

The offer period for the above 3-month Foreign Currency Time Deposit Offer is from 1 Feb 2012 until further notice.
The above Time Deposit Promotional Interest Rates are indicative as of 30 Jan 2012. They are not guaranteed and subject to revision, as per prevailing market conditions.
The above Time Deposit Promotional Interest Rates are calculated based on Board Rates and Bonus Interest Rate.
To enjoy the above offer, the customer must place each time deposit with New Fund* during the Offer Period.
Deposit amount must be in the range of HKD50,000 to HKD10,000,000 (in designated foreign currency equivalent).
Time deposit renewal and Existing Funds^ do not qualify.
Non-HSBC Premier and Non-HSBC Advance customers can enjoy the Foreign Currency time deposit offer by placing eligible time deposit via any of the HSBC branches or Personal Internet Banking. HSBC Premier and HSBC Advance customers can enjoy the Foreign Currency time deposit offer by placing eligible time deposit via HSBC's 24-hour manned phonebanking services, any of the HSBC branches or Personal Internet Banking.
The rate offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other time deposit promotional rate offers.
The Bank reserves the right to terminate or change this offer at any time without prior notice.
In the event of any dispute relating to this offer, the Bank's decision shall be final and conclusive.

Step 2 - Input your time deposit instruction
Select your designated currency, amount and tenor that match the prevailing bonus rate offer. Please note that the offer will not be applicable if you have set up another time deposit with any of the Online Time Deposit Bonus Interest Rates in the past 7 calendar days.

Step 3 - Acknowledge the terms and conditions

Notes: Your New Fund Balance will be shown on the time deposit instruction page during the Bank's service hours.
