A widget or gadget is a small downloadable application that sits on your desktop. Some of the most common widgets and gadgets are clocks, calculators, calendars, and weather forecasts. Widgets and gadgets can be an alternative to multiple open browsers or websites because they don't take up much space and sit on the desktop permanently without any need to open a web browser or enter a website address.

To keep you in touch with information that is key to you, HSBC has launched a desktop Gadget. This Gadget has been designed to run using Yahoo! Widget Engine on Windows XP, Windows 2000, Windows Vista, and Mac OS X 10.3.9 and up.
