Making MPF voluntary contributions

Find out what your options are for contributing more towards your MPF, on top of your mandatory contributions.

Give your future a boost with MPF voluntary contributions

You can boost your retirement savings by making additional voluntary contributions to your MPF. This way, you invest early and its compound effect can soften the impact of inflation when you retire. What's more, you may be able to save on tax with Tax-deductible Voluntary Contributions (TVC). Or you could enjoy more financial flexibility even as you save with Flexi-Contributions. You could also look into Employee Voluntary Contributions (EEVC) if you want to make regular contributions through your employer's payroll.

Types of voluntary contributions

Flexi-Contributions

Contribute and withdraw flexibly so you can build your retirement savings at your own pace. Withdraw up to 12 times each financial period (1 July to 30 June).

Employee Voluntary Contributions (EEVC)

Contribute to your contribution accounts through your employer's payroll. You can usually withdraw or transfer your MPF when you cease employment.

Tax-deductible Voluntary Contributions (TVC)

Enjoy a maximum tax-deductible amount of HKD60,000 on your TVCs, as you save towards your retirement. To learn more about opening a TVC account, visit our TVC accounts page.
