Account Binding and Unbinding

How to bind my HSBC HK Personal Internet Banking profile to my WeChat account?

HSBC HK WeChat followers can bind their HSBC HK Personal Internet Banking profile to their WeChat account in a few simple steps!

Step 1: Within the HSBC HK WeChat Official Account, tap on “More” at the menu bar below and select “Account Binding”;

Step 2: Click “Start” when you see the account binding guide;

Step 3: Click on “Continue” if you agree to the terms and conditions;

Step 4: Log on to your HSBC HK Personal Internet Banking;

Step 5: Receive SMS verification code and input the code to verify your phone number (if you have not used your Security Device or Mobile Security Key to log on to your HSBC HK Personal Internet Banking);

Step 6: You will see a message “Account binding successful” and receive a WeChat notification once the account binding is completed.

SMS Verification

I did not receive the SMS code to verify my mobile number – what should I do?

You can request a new SMS code to be sent to your mobile number by clicking on 'Resend’. The SMS code will be sent to the Bank’s registered mobile number. Please ensure your current location has good mobile signal coverage.

If you are unsure about the Bank’s registered mobile number, please update your mobile phone number via other bank channels. 

Quick Balance

How can I start using Quick Balance?

Quick Balance will be enabled immediately when you have successfully completed account binding.

Step 1: Within the HSBC HK WeChat Official Account, tap on “Banking” at the menu bar and select “Quick Balance”;
Step 2: Click the chevron to show the foreign currency accounts within the personal integrated accounts, if applicable.

Only balance information from your current and savings accounts are available in Quick Balance. To see balances and other account information, please use the HSBC HK Mobile Banking App or Personal Internet Banking.

Mini Program

What is a Mini Program?

A Mini Program is a sub-application within the WeChat ecosystem, and no additional installation is required in order to use a Mini Program. HSBC HK WeChat Mini Program is offered by HSBC HK, acting as a supplement to the HSBC HK WeChat Official Account to give you easy access to some time-saving features.
