Why should I consolidate my personal accounts?

The key to managing MPF is to keep it simple. You can consolidate and transfer all accrued benefits from multiple personal accounts to a single account under your chosen scheme.

It's common to have more than one personal account, especially if you've had employers with different MPF schemes, or have been self-employed. The more accounts you hold, though, the more difficult MPF management can be.

The good news is that MPF consolidation is easy.

As an HSBC MPF personal account holder, your MPF account balance also counts towards your total relationship balance.

You can also manage your MPF accounts with your other HSBC accounts through online banking. You can check your MPF balance and change your investment allocation whenever you want.

Locate and check the status of your MPF personal accounts

If you do not have the details of your personal accounts, you can check with the Mandatory Provident Fund Schemes Authority (MPFA) to find out the number of personal accounts you hold, as well as the name and the hotline of the trustee under which each account is held.

For details, visit the MPFA website www.mpfa.org.hk.
